Hello, I’m Christine, a bridal alterations specialist based in Inverness, Scotland.

With a background in costume construction and experience across bridal and occasion wear, I specialise in creating a perfect fit for every bride. From subtle adjustments to more detailed alterations, each dress is carefully tailored to suit both you and your gown.

Sewing has always been a part of my life, leading me to study costume construction at degree level and gain experience within the costume, film and theatre industries.

In 2016, I founded Christine Louise Alterations, and since then I have had the pleasure of helping many brides feel confident and comfortable in their dresses.

I offer a calm, professional and supportive service, where you feel listened to and reassured throughout the alterations process.

Christine is honestly an absolute star! Christine altered my 2nd dress from start to finish as well as my maid of honour's dress, and also saved the day very close to my wedding when a dress shop in Edinburgh had completely messed up the alterations of my main wedding dress.

Christine last minute sorted the chest of my main dress and brought it in where I was told it couldn't be taken in by the shop that was doing my alterations originally. I am so so grateful for finding Christine - she is so friendly, professional, calm and kind.

Christine was absolutely amazing! She altered my wedding dress over three appointments, even taking it in twice after I lost more weight. The fit was perfect. She also created a gorgeous ballroom bustle and cleverly colour-coded it so my mum could manage it easily on the day.

She made sure the dress was just off the floor when bustled since I was wearing it again for family photos and even after walking along the beach and through seaweed, there wasn’t a mark on it. Her attention to detail and care were incredible. Highly recommend
